Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has told the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he remains a 'card carrying member ' of the rulingPeoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The APC leaders had come to Obasanjo's home on Saturday in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to continue of their consultations on political developments in Nigeria
Ex-president stated he was a democrat that believed in the existence of opposition.
"My Party is PDP. My politics is Nigeria, Africa and the World in that order. I am a democrat and I do know that one of the essential ingredients of democracy is opposition. "Always put Nigeria first above personal and group interests."He also stressed the need for politicians to play by the rules and play politics without bitterness.

The meeting is taking place against a r of the controversies surrounding a Obasanjo's open letter to Jonathan, titled 'Before It Is Too Late', in which the former president criticized the way Jonathan handles corruption, security, and economy.
